Tradition

I am a great admirer and official hoarder of quotes. Snippets of inspiration and wisdom are taped on the walls and windows throughout my house. Growing up, my Mom always had motivational messages and profound thoughts, elegantly scrawled on the mirror in our bathroom. I always loved seeing what words were driving her that day.

Without realizing, I have carried the tradition forward. I often find Elora reading the bits and pieces, adding her translation of their meaning and sometimes claiming a favorite.
So, today these words are the ones I am holding as my north star.

Doesn’t everything die at last and too soon?
Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?

Would you care to share what’s inspiring you in this moment?

  1. Loving this quote by H. Whitman at the moment: "Don't ask yourself what the world needs. Ask yourself what makes you come alive. And then go and do that. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive."
